Should cell phones be allowed in class?

Cell phones are something that almost everyone has. Us teenagers really only use cell phones for texting friends and Facebook. Teenagers don’t really use cell phones for ethical reasons like calling a toe truck when you get a flat tire, because we don’t need too yet. Cell phone are actually very useful for a number of things such as calling 911 if your out and something bad happens, or maybe when your walking home from school  and someone strange is following you and your scared, you could use your cell phone to call your parents or even police if its that serious. Also you can use cell phones to keep in touch with parents in case something happens. you can also use cell phones for a calculator in math class. Cell phones are also useful for texting. Say your in a loud place and you can’t talk on the phone because the other person wont hear you, it’s useful to just text so they can read it, instead of trying to hear it. Also we can use them to listen to music, maybe music helps some people concentrate harder.

i believe that cell phones should be aloud in class. i dont belive we should be aloud to text, facebook, twitter, ect in class because that disturbs our learning, or texting could be used to cheat on a test, but we should be aloud to use cell phones in class if we need to use them for school related reasons such as internet/google instead of booking a computer lab for the class. We should also be aloud to use cell phones in class because if a student is too slow to copy notes from the board, pictures can be taken or it could be written in the note app of the cell phone. I also believe we should be able to use cell phones in class because it provides constant communication with kids and their parents. This is why i believe cell phones should b used in class
